Gavin is a Chartered Accountant based in Bridgwater. He is a Partner at Maxwells Chartered Accountants.
Gavin’s amateur theatre passion has seen him tread the boards in many an operatic performance over the years and he has chaired the local award-winning operatic society for a number of years. This passion transcends to Carnival and Gavin is Chairman for Masqueraders Carnival Club based in Meare, Glastonbury. This sees him comparing mouse races, bar tendering, stewarding, managing the dairy wholesale operation at Glastonbury Festival, as well as lending a hand to building the cart and performing on the 100 foot dynamic spectacle that is their November cart entry.
Gavin is passionate about fundraising for Cancer Research UK and was the Chairman of the local fundraising group for many years. Having now hung up his collection tin after hitting the £1million total, he now concentrates on one large event for Cancer Research UK each year, cementing his links to Bridgwater even further this is the Bridgwater Half Marathon.
Gavin has two wonderful sons who are growing up far too fast and he spends a lot of time trying to both keep them entertained as well and generally trying to keep up!
